Give wasted items a second life

Plugin brief

Ever thought about alternative treatment of expired or destroyed items lying on the ground?
Now you can move them to a one, centralized place – a trash chest or however you call it on your server.
You can precisely select which items can be moved, use exclusion rules based on world, damage cause and protected region (WorldGuard and other supported plugins).
Plugin works on many Bukkit-compatible server implementations, including Spigot and Paper.

Main features

  • Move items reaching their lifetime lying on the ground into trash chest
  • Move items destroyed by any cause (e.g. burning in lava, entering void) into trash chest
  • Let players put items into trashchest
  • Select worlds where items won’t go into trashchest
  • Select parts of world where items won’t go into trashchest or where access to trash chest will be blocked (using supported protection plugins like WorldGuard and more)
  • Select damage causes that will exclude items from being moved into trash chest
  • Select item types (material list) that will be excluded from being moved into trash chest
  • Set how long items can be stored in trash chest

Supported server software
(Guaranteed working)

  • Minecraft backend: CraftBukkit / Spigot / Paper (1.20.6 – 26.2)
  • Java: at least version 21

    • Optional dependencies

    • WorldGuard – TrashChest registers 2 extra flags („tchest-open”, „tchest-items-transfer”) to allow control where items should not be moved into trash chest and where access to trash chest should be blocked. Also, if player has selected to exclude their owned regions from moving items to trash chest, plugin will respect this, by doing land ownership checks.
    • PlotSquared – If player has selected to exclude their owned plots from moving items to trash chest, plugin will respect this, by doing land ownership checks.
    • GriefPrevention – If player has selected to exclude their owned claims from moving items to trash chest, plugin will respect this, by doing land ownership checks.
    • Residence – If player has selected to exclude their owned residences from moving items to trash chest, plugin will respect this, by doing land ownership checks.
    • SimpleClaimSystem – If player has selected to exclude their owned claims from moving items to trash chest, plugin will respect this, by doing appropriate checks. Both v1 and v2 versions of this plugin are supported.
    • Homestead – If player has selected to exclude their owned claims from moving items to trash chest, plugin will respect this, by doing land ownership checks.
